Dr. Md. Akram Hossain is the founding Executive Director of PMIS and Professor of Management Information Systems Department of Dhaka University, obtained his undergraduate degree in Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) in the year 2000 and his post-graduation degree in Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in the year 2001. Dr. Akram Completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in the year 2013. His Ph.D. topic is “IT application in Supply Chain Management”. He is also completing a Post-Doctoral research degree in the year 2018. His Post-Doctoral research topic is “Health Information Systems and E-health”. Dr. Akram got a commonwealth split-site scholarship and Erasmus Mundus Scholarship in his Ph.D. and Postdoctoral academic life. He is also working as a Scientific Researcher at the Institute for Advanced Research and Training, University of Evora, Portugal.
Dr. Akram is an International researcher and he has 27 national & international articles which are published in popular journals. As an academician, he attended and presented his research paper in various countries like the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Turkey, Switzerland, Germany, Hungry, Cuba, Thailand, and Malaysia in different international academic & research-based conferences. He also got the best paper award in Australia and Malaysia. Dr. Akram also works as a consultant on various projects, and IT and IT-enabled services in Bangladesh.
